Marcel Raad

Marcel Raad has an extensive security related background gained from service in both the military and civilian world. His operational and strategic management experience, gained over more than 25 years of operations across the globe, spans the breadth of operational scenarios from low and unknown risk through to high-risk environments. 

As a member of the Military Police in the German Armed Forces, Marcel specialised in Executive Protection and Hostile Surveillance detection. 

As a Security and Safety subject matter expert for over 10 years in the United Nations, he served in various capacities and theatres including as the Protection Coordinator for the investigation into the assassination of the former Lebanese Prime Minister, PM Rafik Hariri.

Marcel has a strong background in business continuity and contingency planning and has successfully managed the evacuation and relocation of major civilian entities from established and spontaneous conflict locations.

As a trainer in the adult learning sector, Marcel has designed and delivered training to civilian, humanitarian, and governmental students. He has always ensured that these students received the most suitable, bespoke and up to date training required in order to prepare them for their various tasks. 

He is experienced in working in multi-cultural, dynamic environments where complex situations often require straightforward solutions to produce effective and efficient results. Marcel has led, mentored and trained large multi-national teams throughout his career. 

He is fluent in French, English and German. He has colloquial Arabic and Spanish.
